Happy Customer

I made these cute little matching bags back in November, as a special order for a friend of mine who wanted to offer them as a Christmas present to her sister in-law and niece.

                               

Today she sent me some cute pictures of the lovely mom and daughter team that received them. 

                  

I’m really glad that it worked out, they both look happy with their new matching bags and the sizes seem to have worked out as well. 

                                             

Isn’t the little niece, Juliette, a cutie?!? Though I was told that she was sqirming all over the place making it was rather hard to get a good picture.  I think she’s just the cutest little thing you’ve ever seen. So, thank you so much for the pictures.

If you’ve bought one of my bags in the past, I would love a picture of you to add to my blog in the Happy Customers Category.  I also hope to create a gallery of them on my website when I have enough.  It you are too shy it can be an artistic one where we don’t even see your face, just you walking away or the bag could simply be set in front of a famous place. I’m sure you can come up with an idea!

Happy Customers

I was so touched when a few people come by the stand at the weekend proudly wearing an ALEX bag!  I couldn’t get a picture of everyone but I did get a couple to pose for me.  It was especially nice to hear that it was their favourite bag.  And that they didn’t ever bother using their posh leather ones, but instead always used their ALEX bags. It felt really nice to know that what I had made/created was actually being used regularlyand being appreciated.  Plus they just looked super good even after being worn so much.

Custom made

I have a big sewing day planned for Anne and I today. So I’ve woken up a little early to add a couple of pictures of another happy customer and custom made bag.

I met Kerstin during Stilblüten in June.  She had her eye on a bag but thought about it a little too long.  By the time she came back to get it, it had been sold.  So we got to talking and as it turns out she does silk-screen prints too.  Well not that I do, but my sister does and the bag that she almost bought had one of her prints on it.  Anyway to cut a long story short, I offered to make a bag with on of her prints, that way it would be that much more personal.  She thought it was a great idea. So on Friday afternoon I popped around to her workshop, with her new custom made handbag.  She loved it!

  

She had two show openings that night and we had both thought that it would be great for her to be able to wear her new bag then.  I think she was really pleased.  If you are interested in seeing more of her work why don’t you go check out her blog.  What she does is very funky!  She uses all sorts of different mediums for her creations, like spray paint, oil, prints, collages, etc.

Happy Customers

I got some great pictures of happy customers while away that I’m really glad to be able to share with you.  The first is of the proud new owner of the little gym bag I made and wrote about a little while back. The second is of his mom and him who sent me the lovely comment that I also uploaded and translated as I thought it was so sweet.  It’s great to be able to add a face to the person I’ve been writing to, and also to see the bags being worn and making someone happy.

I got the loveliest email from Christiane; the young mom who ordered the custom made gym bag for her son, umongst other things, like a messenger bag for herself with matching little purse.  Anyway, I asked her if it would be okfor me to share it with you as I found it really touching.  And she said, that of course I could as she really meant it.

Here the original message:

Hi Alex,
gestern kam dein Päckchen an. Der Turnbeutel ist super schön geworden und auch so, wie ich ihn mir vorgestellt habe, klasse, danke! Niklas mag ihn auch, er hat ihn gestern gleich im Garten herumgetragen und Kindergarten gespielt. Die Taschen für mich gefallen mir sehr, ich finde, du machst deine Arbeit einfach klasse mit Herz und Liebe und viel Geschmack, ich werde bestimmt wieder bei dir bestellen

Translation:

Hi Alex,
Yesterday arrived your package. The gym bag turned out great, just how I had imagined it, super, Thank you! Niklas*  likes it too, he put it on right away while in the garden and started playing Kindergarten.  I am also very pleased with the bags meant for me, I find that you do great work with heart and love and lots of great taste, I will definitely order something again  

*Niklas is her little boy who will be starting kindergarten in August.

This has been a great week for Happy Customer pictures! If you are also a happy person wearing an ALEX – Original handmade handbag it would be great to receive your photo(s) to add to the blog along with all of these.

If you remember a couple of weeks ago I posted pictures of a great new round bag in beige and light blue tones, with the note that it had already been picked as a present even before it was even sewn. Annett and Susanne had come to my workshop to pick out a present and left with a little more than planed. Well, the young lady who received it was very happy indeed and they sent me pictures to post.  Thank you girls!

Happy Customers

My sewing machine is still on strike, well not really, it’s being fixed. So sadly I still don’t have anything new to show you. But I did get some pictures sent to me from a happy customer; perfect timing Mrs. Semple, Thank you!!!

I think, she seems very content with her new ALEX Original handbags.  She looks very elegant too, they even suit her outfits perfectly.  I thought I should share them with you all.

Happy smiley faces

If you live in or near Frankfurt you are always welcome to contact me for an appointment.  This evening I had two lovely women here trying to pick a present for a friend.  It’s a relaxed and easy going atmosphere, you have the chance to see the bags that are on the Internet, as well as the ones I have for the different fairs and the ones I’m currently working on.  The colours and details can also be better appreciated and felt, for example the velvet or ribbons are much more noticeable in real life.  I think they enjoyed themselves.  They both ended up buying more that they had planed, which is always a good sign

  

I asked them if I could take a couple of ‘action shots’ as they were trying them on to add to the blog and I think they thought it was a fun idea!  Those were the bags they picked in the end!  They both looked great, but then I’m hardly going to say the opposite!

Here’s a picture from a happy customer proudly wearing her round handbag!

She came to my place to pick one but found it hard to pick just the one! She said she would be back again, especially with Christmas being just around the corner. They do really make great presents.

I think she made a great choice! This black and purple handbag is so feminine. It’s elegant enough for an evening out but still funky enough for the day. She was also lucky that I had the matching little purse to go with it!
